At the center of South America, the Pantanal is the world's largest tropical wetland region that spans across Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay. The South America's Pantanal exhibit at the Houston Zoo is the first of its kind in the nation, with 16 main animal encounters of the Pantanal's iconic giant river otters, jaguar, giant anteaters, and many more.
Offering an immersive and engaging experience, the exhibit educates its visitors about the diverse and unique wildlife species of the Pantanal, but also the on-going conservation effort protecting this epic ecosystem.
